The Social Butterfly is a volunteer role focused on creating a welcoming, connected, and social experience for guests. It is a people-focused position designed for someone who enjoys meeting new travelers, organizing low-pressure social moments, and bringing positive energy into shared spaces. This is a volunteer role compensated with room and board.

The purpose of the Social Butterfly role is to:

What the Social Butterfly does
The Social Butterfly is expected to be socially present, proactive, and guest-facing throughout the property.
Core responsibilities
- Be present and engaged in common areas, the bar, the restaurant, and during hosted activities
- Encourage guest participation in events
- Help keep the bar and social spaces lively
- Serve as a social point of contact for guests
- Answer guest questions and make recommendations
- Help guests connect with each other
- Share helpful local tips and information
- Post one picture/selfie for each activity that the volunteer has hosted/taken part in the hotel guest WhatsApp group
- Represent ONDA positively both on-site and during off-site outings
- Communicate clearly with the team about event plans, guest feedback, and issues
- Complete additional reasonable guest-experience and social-programming tasks as assigned by management
