Night Market & Traditional Dance
Night Market & Traditional Dance is ONDA Boquete’s weekly cultural programming moment. It gives guests a chance to experience local artisan vendors and watch a traditional Panamanian folklore dance performance in a relaxed bar setting.
Purpose
This activity exists to bring a local, cultural element into the guest experience.
It supports ONDA’s atmosphere by:
- giving guests something different from a standard hostel night
- creating a more local Boquete feel
- making the property feel active and connected to the community
For volunteers, the goal is mostly to make sure people know it is happening and encourage turnout.
What it is
This is a weekly cultural event with two parts:
Night Market
Local vendors from Boquete set up small stands and sell artisanal products they make themselves.
Examples may include:
- soap
- coffee
- handmade items
- other local products
Traditional Dance
A dance group performs a traditional Panamanian folklore dance for ONDA guests.
From the guest point of view, this is mainly a watch, browse, and shop type of event rather than a participatory activity.
