Yoga Volunteer - ONDA Boquete
Overview
At ONDA, yoga is something we offer to enhance the guest experience. It is not the main focus of the stay, and ONDA is not a yoga retreat. This role is for someone who can lead strong, enjoyable classes while also contributing to the overall atmosphere of the property.
In other words, this is a vibes-first, yoga-second role. We are looking for someone warm, flexible, down-to-earth, and genuinely comfortable in a casual, hostel-style, community-driven environment. The Yoga Volunteer is part of the guest experience, not separate from it. This position is voluntary and compensated with room and board. The agreement also frames the role as guest-experience-first, with yoga serving as an enhancement to the stay rather than the primary draw.
Role Summary
The Yoga Volunteer leads inclusive, engaging classes that help guests feel grounded, welcome, and connected. Beyond teaching, the role includes helping create a calm and inviting space, being approachable before and after class, and contributing positively to the wider community atmosphere of ONDA.
What You'll Do
You'll teach classes in ONDA's yoga space and offer a mix of styles depending on your background and the needs of the guests. This may include gentle yoga, flow, meditation, breathwork, and other wellness-focused practices. You'll be expected to arrive prepared, maintain the yoga space, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and create a safe and inclusive environment for all levels.
You'll also help promote sessions in a friendly, non-pushy way, answer guest questions before and after class, and communicate promptly with the team about any schedule changes or needs.
Good Fit For This Role
This role is ideal for someone who wants to teach yoga in a relaxed hospitality setting and is excited to be part of the overall guest experience. It is best for someone who values connection, ease, and community just as much as teaching itself.
What We're Looking For
About ONDA Boquete
ONDA Boquete is a social hotel and community hub in Panama's cool mountain town of Boquete. Surrounded by coffee country, cloud forests, hiking trails, and waterfalls, it is a base for travelers who come to explore, work remotely, and connect with other people.
The bar, river deck, garden, coworking areas, yoga space, and guest activities give the property an active, communal rhythm. Volunteers help make that community feel natural and welcoming through shared breakfasts, outings, welcome moments, and evening activities. This is a strong fit for people who enjoy nature, social connection, and taking initiative in an international guest environment.
Your volunteer experience
Join the team, live at the property, and become part of the ONDA community while contributing to the guest experience.
